5. How can you provide me with a suitable Hospital Bed?
Hospital beds can be categorized based on their functionality. Of course we can deliver products with the most complete range of functions. However, requirements differ from one case to another. Therefore it would be useful to glance at our anatomy lessons for hospital beds before you proceed in selecting the bed you might need.
We start at the lowest level; the castor wheel. Our hospital beds are provided with four pieces of 5 inch high quality castor wheels, all capable of full 360 degree swivelling. Among them, two are equipped with brake and swivel lock High-Low mechanism. This mechanism will allow you to adjust the height of the hospital bed. When this feature is available (whether with crank or electric control as a mean to activate the mechanism), you are able to adjust the height of the hospital bed from 470 mm ( lowest) to 660 mm (highest) from floor level. This feature will support paramedics as well as patients in their convenience during a treatment.
The side-guard is a mean to protect patients from falling down (sometimes it is used as a mean to prevent guests from sitting on the patient's bed). A pair of secure and strong, yet easy to attach/detach, side guards will enable you in leaving the patients on their own without being worried about any accidents. The side-guards are provided with lock mechanisms for easy engagement and disengagement.
An adjustable back raise is another feature, we can equip the beds with. Our back raise can raise until 75 degrees, which is more than sufficient for comfort reading, eating, sitting and other in-bed activities.
Our knee raise can bring more comfort to your patients, especially to those who have to endure laying stretched in the bed for a long time. It is believed that a proper regular change of the knee position will facilitate a better blood circulation.
Cranks are practical devices to control the High-Low position of the bed, the back raise and the knee raise. The cranks are provided according to the available functions of the particular hospital bed. The cranks are easy and lightly to turn while the movement of the bed, back raise or knee raise goes smooth.
Also available is a switch controlled button pad for controlling our advanced low noise electric bed. With this bed it is easy to adjust the height of the bed, the back raise position or the knee raise position; one press on the button using your fingertips is sufficient to activate the system.
Finally the head-end and foot-end possess some special features. One of the standard features is a detachable head and foot end with a strong mounting device. Both ends are provided with fine furnished wood.
Some of our hospital beds are equipped with a frame of stainless steel to guarantee a stronger structure. These beds are especially useful in situations where the bed frequently has to be relocated to several patient’s rooms.
An infuse (I.V.) stand is included in most of our Hospital Beds. |
